How to Use the Moon for Setting Resolutions All Year Long

Posted: April 26th, 2022

Resolutions can be made at any time of the year, and they should be. Due to the beliefs of some, we make resolutions around New Years because it feels like a fresh start to a new year. Although this is a great time to set new goals and commit yourself to resolutions, it isn’t the only time you can. You are powerful and everything you need to accomplish your goals, hopes and dreams is already inside of you. With a little intention, perseverance, and courage… it is truly astounding what we can create.

Every now and again we all need a ‘reset’ and can all feel a bit stuck in our ways, and are unsure of what to do to change, we seek clarity to guide us towards resolution. A great tool you can use to help you along your journey is the cycles of the moon.

The Moon Offers a Symbolic Blank Slate Each Month

Each month we are given a symbolic blank slate that can be used to let go of what no longer serves our highest good, a blank slate that inspires curiosity and offers hope to the everchanging future. The possibilities are limitless.

During a full moon is a great time to reflect on things in your life you want to release, let go of, stop worrying about. Do you have any habits that affect you negatively you’d like to let go off? Put the pen to the paper during a full moon and let the emotion flow out of you. Burn the paper you used to write down what you want to let go off, to symbolize the end of your acceptance of the habit, just as it is the end of the moon cycle.

The energy of the beginning of a new moon cycle can be used creatively to welcome new possibilities and set new goals. Where would you like to see growth in your life? What steps can you take to move closer to accomplishing your goals?

There is no right or wrong way to do full moon rituals, as long as it provides you peace and comfort you are on the right track. If you’d like to attend a full moon gathering in a group setting you can check out one of our events, see details below.
